I get a yeast infection almost every month when i start my period. To make it worse, i have been on metrogel for 5 days which usually causes a yeast infection. My doctor gave me a pill of fluconazole, but im worried that if i take it and i don’t have a yeast infection by some miracle, then it will cause one. I would really like to take it if it will prevent one.
I’ve called into my doctor this morning, ive had this for like 2 days now but was unsure to what i had since ive never had a yeast infection before, and he called in diflucan, a one time pill. now i read online that monistat 1 isnt as effective as monistat 3 or 7 because people can have it come back after a couple days. could this be the same thing with the pill? And if for some reason i dont get the pill this afternoon, im going to just buy some monistat. which one would be more affective, anyone have any experience with it? thanks!
my boyfriend is coming on friday for valentine’s day weekend. i am not sure if this is a yeast infection…i am very dry and kind of itchy to the touch, but there is no discharge. is it ok to take a diflucan pill? will it effect anything?

For a yeast infection, does it work for you? I am finding that the 7 day prescription works best for me and at times I need 2 weeks of that.
Also, has anyone else had a yeast infection that has almost gone away but not quite even after 2 rounds of prescription yeast inserts?
What the hell gives? Am I alone here?
An actual first hand account. Most of what the patient says in this was actually said by her.
I think I may be pregnant. I had a yeast infection and I took diflucan and then I found out your not supposed to take it during pregnancy. So I want to know if anyone has had this experience and if so were there will be any ill effect on the baby. If it turn out that I am pregnant, Im hoping I have not harmed my baby.
I’ve had athletes foot for a good 5 years now and it always seems to come back. I was wondering, since diflucan (fluconazole) is an antifungal used for vaginal yeast infections, would it also work systemically to cure athletes foot? If not, does anyone know of a really good cream/treatment for athletes foot that actually works? Thanks for your help!!
I took diflucan yesterday afternoon, and they say I should wait 3 days to resume sex with a condom. What will happen if I don’t wait, will it affect the medicine or lessen the results? Thanks.
I have a *very* mild yt, not really noticeable and not painful at all
for a bv infection i have a fishy odor and i was just wondering how soon will the metronidazole start working to make the odor go away. and can i have sex if i use a condom, b/c its not a std its bacterial vaginosis, and since i took my diflucan and the metronidazole pill will they counteract with eachother?
