What is the best way to speed up my metabolism?

After having two kids I think mine has become as slow as a snail. I’m having a terrible time losing my pregancy weight from 2 years ago and I think my metabolism is part of the problem. Thanks for your help.

    I think the notion that foods can speed up metabolism is hyperbole at best, though things like caffeine can temporarily and artificially speed it up.

    The best way is the answer you don’t want to hear… exercise.

    eating healthy and exercise. I’ve been there and I joined weight wathcers and that’s what they teach you and it really works. 50 lbs off

    Cardio exercise and try eating instead of 3 meals a day, 6 small meals a day. All of them consisting of healthy foods, and drink water, about 1/2 gallon to 1.5 gallons a day.

    -Excercise.
    -Eating 5 meals a day (6 for men). Small portions though!
    -Gaining muscle. Muscle is a living tissue that stimulates your metabolism all day long.
    -Coffee (although probably the least healthy)

    That’s all I can think of offhand. There’s no magic pill solution though for weight loss, unfortunately. If there was, wow, I wish I owned that stock.

    The best way to speed up metabolism is to simply moveworkexercise. The more the body moves, the more energy is needed to sustain movement, thus your body will burn fuel at an increased rate.
    Unfortunately, if you don’t expend enough energy, your body will not change it’s metabolism. Because everyone is different, chasing two kids around and working may not be enough for you. You should start an exercise program that gets your heart pumping and makes you breath heavy and sweat.
