When I found out that Flagyl caused some babies to get childhood cancer from their mom taking it while pregnant and also the fact that it caused cancer in rats, I was SHOCKED that doctors actually tell their patients it’s completely safe!!! CVS and Walgreens BOTH say DO NOT take it while breastfeeding. I chose to “pump and dump” to be on the safe side. Anyone else?

My fiance works with pregnant teens at the Health Department. He hears the same thing from all of them, ” i don’t know how I got pregnant”. His question, ” were you on birth control” and they say ” yea, we used a condom and it broke” or ” I was on pills but I ran out”.

1. You must use two forms of birth control if you want to have safe sex, and do not want to have a baby or get a disease. He has to use a condom and Girls must use a hormone based birth control method. ( pills, depo shots, implants such as norplant, Nuvaring, etc).
2. If you are ready to have sex, Girls must plan ahead of time and need to visit a doctor or Health Department BEFORE you have sex.. It will be more embarassing to be walking around pregnant , then to have a discrete visit at the health department. Plan a month ahead to start this.
Condoms can be aquired FREE from the health department. But they can easily BREAK. ** Do not just rely on condoms alone. Condoms are a barrier type of control and will help with diseases and use as a back up method along with a hormone birth control.
Birth Control Pills – ** very important, If you are starting these for the 1st time, you need to take the entire first month of pills before you have sex. Otherwise, they won’t work.
Common myths:
1. IF I pull out, she won’t get pregnant- False, pre-cum contains hundreds of sperm and she can and will get pregnant.
2. If I use a condom, its cool she won’t get pregnant- False, condoms break and when it does all the sperm will go inside her.
3. IF she on her period she won’t get preganant- False, unless you know for sure exactly when she ovulates, she can get pregnant at any time of the month.
4. You can’t get pregnant in different positions- False , she can get pregnant once you insert your penis in her, even if she is upside down.
5. If I pee first she won’t get pregnant- False,, has nothing to do with it, you will still have sperm come out. This one is quite funny actually, peeing before hand has no impact on sperm.
Bottom line, if you insert your penis into her vagina at all, she can get pregnant if there is no birth control. ***A pregnancy will cost you 1/3 of your paycheck for the next 18 years!!! Don’t be dumb, use 2 types of birth control.
